Holiday Reading Challenge Week 2 Day 3 Activity 2

Today I did the second activity for the third day of the second week, for it I had to say what I'd do to fund raise for families in the 1930s that had barely any money.

1. Collect useful items that were thrown away and sell them.
2. Doing jobs for people (Cleaning cars, washing windows etc)
3. Reuse items for other purposes (eg; Empty container for water)

  2. Fantastic work Alex!

You have some brilliant ideas for fundraising! I especially like the car washing one! You always have a great structure to your writing. By numbering your points and the format you use to set out your work. Well done! What are some fundraising events you have been part of?

When I was younger, I would always take part in the 40 hour famine and do lots of car washing for school and youth groups! It would always turn into a water fight at the end of the day.

    Keep up the great work!

    Cadence :)

  3. Greetings Alex,
Congratulations for posting another SLJ post up. I really love the interesting facts you've done. I use to do this for my brothers rugby team.

We had to bring our own food and sell it to others. Would you do this?
    Nice Work.

  4. Hi Alex
Well done on finishing this summer learning journey activity. Your ideas about fundraising/saving money are great. I've seen lots of people cleaning cars so it's probably a pretty good idea to make a bit of money. Keep up the good work.
    Daniel
