Maths Art

LI To create a piece of art using: rotation, translation, and reflection.
This week for maths I had to finish off my art work and put it together on a piece of black cardboard, The first row of the art is for rotation, the second is reflection and the third is for translation, you may not notice the translation for it's quite small.
The top row is paint, the middle row is pastel and the bottom row is dye. I did this by using the materials supplied by the school to create the art and also by using glue to stick the art squares onto the black cardboard.

Stained Glass

This is my stained glass work. we had to trace the lines and then we had to colour them in.

My Woven Picture

This is my woven picture and it took time because you were given two pictures one of you in green and another in normal color and you had to cut them up into even lines and then put them together.

1. What are you most pleased with? Why / why not?

I was very pleased with my face on the picture even though my eyes are a bit wonky.

I learnt to take my time on art and though this it will make a great picture.

The only part that felt easy was when I was weaving the strips with Miss Linda.

Getting the pieces in the right place.

Think about colour, alignment, measurement, cutting

The eyes because one of them is lower than the other.

7. What would you do to improve your woven picture next time?

Not to rush the weaving.
