Week 4 day 5 bonus activity

For this activity I had to type out a speech on what I would have said to my class about my journey if I had 1-2 minutes:

'I went to England in the holiday's and I saw Buckingham palace, Big Ben and the tower of London, I ate a full English breakfast and I saw the Beefeater's.

  1. Hi Alex
That's a great speech. You added in what you did what you ate and what you saw. Keep up the great work!

  2. Hi Alex,

Wow!! You and your brother, Daniel are going to keep me really, really busy today with commenting. I am so impressed that you were able to post SO many blogs all in the one day. Well done!

I will look forward to reading all of the posts and to learning more about your experiences in England as I go. I can see that you had a chance to visit Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the tower of London, to eat a full English breakfast and to see Beefeaters. That is a pretty full holiday :)

I hope that, here in Auckland, you've also had a pretty nice holiday. Did you and your family stay in town or did you get away to visit family? I stayed here in Auckland for the most part but I'm looking forward to heading away for a little trip to the south island of New Zealand in April. It will be a lot of fun!

Speaking of fun, I'll look forward to seeing you and the PBS crew when I come into the school early in Term I to hand out the awards and certificates for the Summer Learning Journey.

    See you soon!

    Best,
    Rachel :)

  3. Hi Alex,

I'm a Canadian, living in a small town that is about 1/2 hour from our capital city, Ottawa. I visited England when I was a teenager and I went to see Buckingham Palace and Big Ben at that time. My grandparents came to Canada from England after World War I, a long time ago...

What fun that you've chosen to learn about England this summer!! It's a long way away from New Zealand but a number of Kiwi's have ancestors who came to New Zealand from England on sailing ships many many years ago.

I'd be interested to know what a full English breakfast looks like. Does it include eggs and bacon, or pancakes and syrup? I wonder if it's like the breakfast that you eat at home eat morning.

I hope you've had a super summer holiday and that your first day back at school today has been really fun!!!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
