Free Rice

This week for my other slot I chose to do Free Rice for it you answer questions, for every question answer ten grains of rice are donated to the world hunger organisation.

Tables Conga

This week for my can do's slot I chose to do my seven times tables on tables conga, for it you have to avoid the x's and collect all of the times tables numbers.

Tongan Language Week

This week instead of having Kiwi Sport LS1 had to do a DLO on Tongan language week. We were put into four groups, in those groups we were taught by one person who knew Tongan. Once we done learning we had to get in pairs and make the DLO together.

Persuasive Speech Plan

LI to create a persuasive speech.
This week for writing all of Mr Ogilvies groups had to plan three persuasive speech's on any topic we wanted to write them on. Although before we were allowed to start planning we first had to fill in a Padlet with ideas. One we'd filled that in we could start planning, my three arguments are about School breakfast, a Tuc shop in all schools and students being able to prank teachers.
I did this by using the ideas on the Padlet for my inspiration.

Point of view on the suffragettes movement

LI To make connections, identify main ideas, summarise, evaluate and synthesise facts through learning conversations.
This week for reading we had to start on a site full of tasks, every week for the rest of the term we had to do two of the tasks on there. One of the ones I did was with Jack, we had to do it on our point of view about the suffragettes movement. I think that the movement should've started a long time before it actually did because it was mostly women doing all of the house work back then.
Jack and I did this by using shapes and tools for the characters and also by finding websites to confirm some information.

How to make a 3D net

LI to create my own 3D shape with a different capacity from volume.
This week for maths Mr Wong's groups had to start making their 3D nets and shapes, (We did the planning last week) we were given a big piece of cardboard to draw our nets on. We weren't allowed to use the whole piece of cardboard for just one shape though, we had to share it with others. One of the tricky parts was trying to get straight lines, the reason for this is because the cardboard was too big for our rulers so we had to estimate on whether or not we thought it was straight. Once we were done we then had to make a video explaining how to make one.
I did this by using a ruler to try and make the lines straight, partnering up with Jack and Julian to make the video and also by trying multiple times to get the lines straight.

Pixel Art

This week for my daily six task I chose to do Pixel Art, I only chose to do a question mark because for the first stage of Pixel Art you aren't allowed to colour your picture in and so there's no point in making something that'll only look good if it's coloured in. I also didn't do it because for the first stage of Pixel Art the point is not to make a cool looking picture but merely just to show that we can rule straight lines.
