Holiday Reading Challenge Week 3 Day 1 Activity 2

Today I did the second activity for the first day of the second week, for it I had to read through a list of names that were usually given to babies in the 1950s and then say if any of those names are still popular in my school.

The list of names for girls are:
Christine, Susan, Margaret, Judith and Jennifer.
The list of names for boys are:
John, David, Peter, Michael and Robert.

In my school there's one boy called David and another called Peter, I don't think any other kids in the school have one of the names above.

  1. Hi Alex

Those are some very common names! I know lots of David’s and Peter’s who I went to school with. I’m a teacher so I’ve met lots of students, the most common name I came across was Kaitlyn but each time it was spelt differently. The most common boy name I came across was Zachary. Very popular names. Do you any Caitlin’s or Zac’s?

Look forward to reading more of your blogs.

  2. Malo E lelei Alex,
I've done this task too. I love the way you explained what you did and also the names of these people at our school. Next time you should think of the juniors names too. There is a junior named Michael. Which name is your favorite?
    Great Work.

  3. Kia Ora Alex,

I think Peter is the populist name in our school. You are right I don't think any other kids in the school have one of the names above. Next time you should include some of the other names that were listed like Michael. We have Michael in room 2. What name would you have? Michael, David or Peter. I would have Daivd.

    Keep up the great work!
