Day 4 Activity 1

For this activity I chose Valerie Adams. She does Shot putt and these are some facts about her:

1. She was born in Rotorua
2. The year she was born in is 1984
3.  She was the IAAF world female athlete for 2014

    Good choice, Alex! I really admire Valerie Adams. She is such a talented athlete. Did you know that she has already won 2 Olympic gold medals? Interestingly, she originally won a silver medal in the previous Olympics in London but was later awarded the gold when the original winner tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and was stripped of her gold medal. Crazy 'eh?!

    Let's hope that there is no doping (drug taking) at the Olympics this year!
