Blog Commenting

This week for my commenting slot I commented on Jack's blog, if you'd like to see his blog or blog post the links are here: Post & Blog

This week at Kiwi Can we played two games and were learning about respect. The first game was one where out four different groups were split into two groups, after that we then had to walk around in a circle and music played, once the music stopped we had to freeze and the people who were on one specific spot had to say what they liked about the other person. For the second game everyone had to write down things that made them special, those things would be read out and the others had to try and guess who the thing belonged to.

Maths Explanation Video

LI to: add and subtract fractions of the same unit size.
This week for maths all of Mr Wong's groups had to either create an explanation video or a google slide explaining how to add fractions. I used sketchpad which was recommended to me by Jack. In the video at first I showed the equation and then I drew the working out (rather clumsily too).
I did this by using the pencil and the text box.

LI to: use a range of comprehension strategies to go deeper into a text.
This week for reading my group had to split up into groups of two, I worked with Jack. In those groups of two we had to fill out the three slides after reading one of three articles, for the slideshow Jack and I've had to evaluate, summarise and write down the main ideas of the text starting from extremely important to mildly important.
Jack and I did this by: Reading all of the article multiple times and conferring with each other to see which ideas were the most and least important.
