NZRL Resilience

LI: To identify the main ideas in the text.
LI: To explain in fewer words what the text is about.
This week for reading I had to fill out a slide with a summary, main ideas of the text that I'd read and an evaluation of the text. For the Summary I had to find twenty key words in the text, choose six that were the most important and create a few sentences that included the six key words. For the main ideas I had to look around the text to find a good idea, if I did but it wouldn't make sense if I just wrote it in the slide I had to change it so that it would make sense. Lastly for the evaluating I had to say what the text was a about (resilience), what interesting facts I'd learnt when I was reading the text and I also had to write down some questions I had after reading the text. In the text an example of resilience was Jordan Kahu, he has had many injuries and even had to sleep in a car for some time. Link to text

  1. Hi Alex,
Great job on finishing your reading must do. Did you find this activity hard? I really like what you've put into your DLO, and your blogpost blurb as well. Your blurb is very very descriptive about what you've done for this activity.
I hope to see more amazing posts like this one.
    Keep up the awesome work!
