Holiday Reading Challenge Week 3 Day 4 Activity 2

Today I did the second activity for the fourth day of the third week, for it I had to say where I would go if I was a student in the 1980s doing the Big OE (Big Overseas Experience).

I would go to London because then I could see Big Ben, the London Eye and also see how rainy it is there.

  2. Kia Ora Alex,

I really like the picture of the Big Ben. It looks amazing. I did the the same activity as you but for my Big OE I want to go to Australia because they have better theme parks like wet'n wild. Maybe next time you should attribute your photos. keep up the great work!

  4. Kia Ora Alex,
I love the way you've explained what you had to do and also the names of the pictures you found. I've done the same task as you. Next time you should attribute your images. Have you been to any of these places?
    Nice Work.

  5. Hi Alex!

Nice work! London would be awesome to visit - it's on my list, too! I'd love to experience a winter Christmas over there when it snows and it feels like the holidays you see on all the Christmas movies!

I have quite a few friends who have visited London and lived there for a while too, and they loved it. My brother is actually moving there next year. Apparently it does rain a lot there. Do you like the rain?

  6. Kia Ora Alex,

Cadence here from the Summer Learning Journey team!
Wow! What a cool OE (overseas experience)! That would be incredible to live in London for a year. I have a few friends who live in Europe. They went for a year but ending up enjoying it too much, so they are staying longer. Seems like something I would do too!

Where have you travel before? I was born overseas so I had a head start, but I’ve been lucky enough to visit Malaysia, Australia, and Papua New Guinea. How about you?

If you could plan an “Around the world trip”, where would you go and in what order?

I can’t wait to read more of your blog posts!

    Cadence 😊

  7. Hi Alex
I have enjoyed reading your SLJ posts. Your OE destination is exactly what mine was. I lived and worked in London for 8 years and it was so much fun! I saw Big Ben and went on the London Eye. Did you know the pods move around so slowly it hardly feels like you're moving. You'll be pleased to know that yes it does rain but I only got soaked once when I forgot my umbrella. Apart from the awesome sights London and the rest of the UK has to offer, it is also only a short flight from Europe. That meant we could see a lot of exciting places. Keep up the great work.
