Favourite Flag Vote
The Silver Fern with the red and blue background was the favourite flag. The Red Peak was the least favourite flag. I think the Silver Fern with the red and blue background was the favourite flag because It looks better and it's similar to the original.

Revising Writing
Yesterday and today I have been working with Ta'ani and Joshua. We had to read over a sample piece of writing.
On Saturday I was at my Papa's, Aunt’s and Uncle’s house getting ready for Halloween. When I saw my Papa dressed as a spooky Zombie I was frightened. I was dressed as a purple bat. I was ready for Halloween. Me and my Papa were going around the houses asking for lollies.
Once I went to a house that was very black and very spooky my Papa got scared. I told him don’t worry It's just a house full of decorations. There were spiderwebs, bats and witch decorations. I knocked on the door and out came a ghost man and lady.
I said to them “Trick or Treat”. They gave us some yummy sweets. Next I went down to another house that wasn't spooky as the last house.
It only had spiders and a black witch’s broom. I knocked on the door and out came a black witch. The witch gave us some chocolates and chocolate candy pumpkins.
When we stopped at Kings Road we saw my friend Zahra, her Dad and her Baby. They were going Trick or Treating for some sweet candy Me and my Papa were walking to Zahra. We asked if we could come with them to get yummy treats. They said yes. When we stopped down at a cafe to eat/drink a had a hot chocolate and a strawberry cupcake. Then we went back down to Coral Cress to go to other houses for Trick or Treating.
When we saw another house that was even scarier than before I said “Trick or Treat”. Out came a man dressed as spider man. He gave us some chocolate lollies. It was fun on the day of Halloween. It was time
to go home, I said bye to my friend Zahra and went home to eat all my goodies.

My Argument
My Argument:
Should we ban chocolate for a 2 years to save the produce and make more grow.
Reason 1: I think that we should take chocolate away from countries for two years to reproduce enough for the whole world. Since chocolate is running out and people just eat more and more.
Reason 2: If we take chocolate away from countries for two years they could harvest more. Then there would be enough for the world to have for more than just two years.
Reason 3: All the chocolate doesn't have to be taken away completely it just has to be saved.
Conclusion: I won’t take it away completely I’ll just raise the price :).

Wedge's Experiment
Wedge's Experiment
Aim:
To find out which teeth are used for biting as well as chewing foods. Why do we use certain teeth for biting and chewing.
Hypothesis:
I think my incisors and canines will be used for biting the bread and the molars for chewing. I think that my incisors and canines will be used for biting the orange and the molars for chewing.
Results
The teeth that I used to bite the orange were the incisors and canines. The teeth that I used to chew the orange were the molars.
The teeth that I used to bite the bread were the incisors and canines.
The teeth that I used to chew the bread were the molars.
Morning Tea
The teeth that I used to bite into the cake were the incisors and canines.
The teeth that I used to chew the cake were the molars.

Chopstick Challenge Recount
Chopstick Challenge
Yes! I said as I got a pebble into the bowl and gave the chopsticks to Joseph.
Room 7 was doing an experiment using chopstick to pick up sweets and we were just picking up the wine gums and nobody in my groups had dropped one. It was just Joseph’s turn and me and Aung Naing were cheering him on. When he got it in he passed the chopsticks to me and I picked up one of the wine gums and plunked it into the bowl and passed the chopsticks to Aung Naing. He picked up the last wine gum and put it into the bowl. Next Miss Paton said she had something more slippery and harder to pick up she then revealed some pebbles and poured them into the bowls. When she said to to start nobody got one in a bowl for the next five minutes.
The first person to get one in was Sanujan then I got one in and I said to Joseph Yes! and gave the chopsticks to Joseph. In all the time nobody ever finished by getting all of their pebbles in.

Time Out With Friends Recount

‘Yayy!!!!! I came 2nd’
Last sunday my brothers and I were picked up by Phoenix's Poppa and taken to the canoe carnival with Zane Phoenix and Paige. When we got there we had to find our group the wainui sea scouts. First we saw Tylar and then saw the rest of the group. Next we had to get signed up for the races I was in group 6 with Zane and Ricky and some other people from different groups. We had to wait a while for our turns but Ricky went first and then it was my turn.
I hopped into a canoe and got my oar ready and so when the man blew the horn I sped off like a bull charging through the woods. I went round the obstacle and turned back and sped to shore again but another boy was faster than me and overtook me but I didn’t care as long as I made it to the final’s. I was given a stick that said 2 on it and went up to the place where you tell the people what place you came. When I went to tell my brothers I said to them ‘Yayy!!!!! I came 2nd’ and I walked over to the food bag to eat something.
When I finished eating it was already time for the finalist’s to come and do their race and on my way there I saw Zane and asked him what place he came and he replied 1st. I said wow and ran past him to the lines but this time when my race went I came 4th. Zane did his one he came 3rd. When he did his race and finished we all got dried, changed and left.

Day 1
My brothers and I had gone over to our granny’s house in Pukekohe for the holidays. So on the first morning after breakfast we rushed out and went to play on the slide but it was closed. I thought it was a real tragedy and so we had to play on the flying fox. After a while we headed back for lunch. When we finished lunch we watched some TV and then went outside again. After 30 minutes we came back for a drink of water. We played for another hour but then it was getting dark so we had to go back inside. We had dinner and then we watched a movie and we went to bed.
Day 2
So on the next day we had breakfast, went out to play and….. The slide was still closed! We asked the man who was doing something to the slide how long it was going to take to finish doing whatever he was doing. He said he was almost finished waxing and cleaning the slide to make it more slippery so people could go down faster. It was in the afternoon when he finished and straight away my brothers and I were at the very top waiting for the man to unlock the giant padlock that was there. As soon as he opened the lock and lifted the cage thing I climbed in and Yahooooo! I said as I flew down the gigantic slide and right off the edge and ran all the way to the top again. When we came back for lunch we stayed inside for the rest of the day until night time when our dad and mum picked us up.
|
Conclusion
Sums up how you felt about the experience.
|
All in all I felt happy because we got to go down the slide.

Recount On What I Did In The Weekend
What I Did In The Weekend
CLANG!. In the weekend my brothers and I had a stick fight. It was Me and Thomas vs Daniel. We started to take Daniel down once but he got back and started to bash our sticks back again. We battled for 5 minutes and then Thomas and I finally took Daniel down and he surrendered and we pretended to cut his head off and he faked being dead but right after that Thomas turned on me so it was now Me vs Thomas. When he started to drive me back I called him a traitor and he laughed and pretend cut my my stomach and I faked bleeding and then he pretended to cut my head off and announced that he was the victor. We all went inside after that.
