For this activity I had to think of an idea that would save the Kakapo.
I think that if you put more appealing things somewhere else close to the nest but not too close things would just go for the other things and not the eggs.
Hmmm, Alex, you are the first person to suggest that we use a distraction or a method of distraction to save the kakapo. That is a really interesting idea. I think that you just might be onto something with this idea...
I do have to wonder what the best thing would to use as a 'distraction.' The various predators of the kakapo have different interests and would, likely, be distracted by different things. We'd have to do some research in order to figure out what might be most effective.
I really like your thinking, Alex. It's completely original and 'out of the box.' Nice job!
