This week in Kiwi Sport we were learning about the different positions, locations and roles in Ki O Rahi. In the game, the two roles are Taniwha and Kioma, one of them tries to score while the other protects. Our Coach Shanice explained the names of all the different places, one of them being Te Roto and another one is Te Ara. In the game we played two people were in the middle, protecting the barrel whilst their teammates needed to run around the circle and tap the ball on the posts. The other team formed a circle around the two people in the middle and needed to hit the barrel before the people in the middle's teammates got all the way around.
Ki o Rahi is such a fun game to play Alex. I really enjoyed listening to our coach tell the story behind the skills and plays in this game. What position do you like playing?
