Egyptian Numbers 1/2

Ancient Egyptian numbers

Learning Intention:  to understand place value by using Ancient Egyptian numbers.
For this I had to see how much each egyptain number was worth and then figure out the questions.
I learnt that the Ancient Egyptains used hyroglyphics to their letters and numbers.

Challenge:

What number is this? Why?
23 because the first two look like tens because they are like two of the ones combined making it look like a two digit number.

What is the same about the last two numbers? They both equal to the same number.

What is different about the last two numbers? With the last number the ones, tens and hundreds are mixed up but they still equal the same number.

Challenge:

Change these numbers into Ancient Egyptian numbers. Insert a photo of your number written on a whiteboard.

What can you understand about Ancient Egyptian numbers compared to modern numbers?
I can understand that egyptian numbers are different from english because it doesn’t matter where you put them they always make the same amount but for english numbers it depends on the placement of the numbers to figure out the amount.
